PaintSmith’s owner Stephen Smith (Steve) has been beautifying homes and businesses for over 25 years and in business in New Mexico since 2002. Several of the homes Steve has painted have been featured award winners in the popular Parade of Homes, but there is no job too small or too basic for him. Whether you need interior/exterior paint, a new color palette or specialty finish, expertise, quality and professionalism are the standard of excellence you can expect from Steve and his team.

In any endeavor Steve's level of integrity and professionalism is apparent. Steve employs only professionals who exhibit the same attention to detail and quality that PaintSmith is known for. 

Prior to coming to New Mexico, Steve lived in the bay area of California where in between gigs in his career as a professional musician, he painted for 15 years. From the Painted Ladies in the heart of San Francisco to Sam’s Club more inland and everything in between, Steve has been running successful paint crews to get the  job done right and on time.

Besides painting, Steve's passion is playing bass. It was while he was on tour playing a sold out show in 1999 in Albuquerque that he met his wife Jennifer. Eventually he and his band (Bar 7/Tesla) went their separate ways and Steve officially made Albuquerque his home.

Jennifer, his wife and business partner, is a Certified Architectural Color Consultant and Associate Broker/Realtor® . She brings her love of color, aesthetics and design together with color psychology to create beautiful, purposeful interiors considering the clients personal taste, surroundings, design, and lighting so that rooms will flow harmoniously. 

In addition to painting, decorating and beautifying the world, Steve and Jennifer enjoy their animals, their home, motorcycles and bible study. Steve also serves as a leader and bass player on the worship team at Calvary of Albuquerque and Jennifer served as a ministry leader for 10 years.
